This incredibly rare and highly sought after design "Zouaves et Dragons" pays homage to the military outfits worn by the two French infantry units in Africa, the "Zouaves" and the "Dragons". The inspiration for this highly collectible piece was taken from the pages of a 19th Century album dedicated to military costumes from the private collection of Émile Hermès, grandson of Hermès founder Thierry Hermès. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards in which each scarf takes 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each design. This scarf design and color-way was made by one of Hermès most prolific designers, Virginie Jamin who was responsible for many designs such as "Brides et Gris-Gris" and "Cannes et Cannes".
