Preowned, vintage Hermes Sac de Mangeoire bag, likely made in the 1960s. Made from black box calf leather, its unique shape was originally influenced by French horse feeding troughs, and a nod to Hermes equestrian beginnings. Unlined, it features an adjustable strap that can be shortened for hand carry or lengthened to carry on the shoulder. The perforated holes can be adorned with a favorite scarf for added flair as we show in image 2 (scarf is shown for styling inspiration and is not included with this bag). A whimsical and iconic equestrian-themed bag by Hermes Paris! Made in France. Approximate measurements: 8in H x 5in D with a strap drop adjustable between 6in and 11in. Authenticated by The Fashion Detective and a copy of the COA will be included with purchase. Preowned, vintage (60+ years old) with definite signs of age, use and prior wear: scratching and some surface cracking to areas of the leather bag and strap, most notable as shown in our last two images. The interior cinch strap stitching looks like it was repaired off market (images 10 & 11). Some patina/loss to the hardware. The interior is clean. Our price reflects the condition.
