Poshmark does not validate accounts or postings and because of that Scams have increased a ton lately From jewelry to handbags and watches.. *I will keep this post up for others that want to tag people who got blocked or for information** Us Poshers that have caught these people we get blocked on all their fake accounts so we know. We try and message all we can that "like" or comment to inform them so no one is out their hard earned money. Protect yourself. Tips: - Search by Title or words in title to see if there are duplicate listings by other scam accounts - Look at last active. If something new comes up and active was days ago. Red Flag - Ask for more pictures or videos and wait for them - Look for other Sales and feedback given We have to help eachother and Look out for one another.

miss_synergy All the ones I've seen have numbers at the end of their screen names, use the same picture for both spots on their profile, post jewelry often with Stampd in the description, are priced $200-$300, and steal the photos off Mer c a ri.

krssmanagement We are now having these scammers commenting on our real listings. We call them out for scamming and they try to hurt us with commenting on our real listings saying we are scammers. This is getting ridiculous and again Posh does nothing and has not policy in place to check new accounts.

krssmanagement @sindy_otto everyday in multiple brand listings. it is horrible. people will just buying until they fix things. I just bad for the people the bought the scams. I warned one of them hoping she canceled her item.

33isa it happened to me- i made 2 separate purchases and then found the actual item on another site (after the 2 hour accidental cancelation window). There was also quite a delay to get a respond from PM to receive a refund. Thank you for doing this!

sindy_otto @krssmanagement Oh, it was multiple...ok. I have been emailing Poshmark support and sending the pictures and links, so they can investigate and remove the listings, but the same person is creating new ones almost daily.

krssmanagement @sindy_otto It is everywhere. Hard to control unless they fix making an account harder validation process. The LV and Gucci bags there are tons. Go look in Michael Kors you will see all the wrong bags listed in there

sindy_otto @krssmanagement I agree!! We are all working together!! My husband created an account to help me, because my other 3 were blocked. and the Scammer reported me to Poshmark (which is hilarious) and they had me blocked from posting anything. very sad

krssmanagement @sindy_otto All about profits! they don't have validation processes. Refunding or disputing on the backend cost less. No cost is going out for them other than software.

liznoel5 i just had it happen. @laroslondgib12 trying to get it taken care of. Bought ring she blocked me and then it was sent to a diff name and address in the same town as me. tracking number was for the ring but sent to another person

krssmanagement @sindy_otto As long as there is multiple email accounts you can do it. Or delete your old account and make new name. But these people do software scripting it easy for these people to make accounts. The time part is finding all the pics and posting. They are now taking pics from the other site Mer_cari and e_Bay not just poshers stuff now.

addi1974 @krssmanagement THANK YOU for doing this, its getting BEYOND ridiculous. These people make those of us that are honest look bad. I called a girl out for having a ring that I personally own from Zales listed as a "custom made VS diamond wedding set" and she had it listed for like $1200 it's not even REAL diamonds, it's white sapphire sterling silver NOT 14k and it was a promo special that cost $20 if you took a card into the store that they sent you!

krssmanagement @addi1974 OH WOW.. now that is bad. The issue with those that would have been sent to Posh and they tell you and ask you to cancel. BUT that is horrible for someone to try and pass that off. We all just try to educate and hope call out people so others don't get scam. Thank you for helping get rid of the scammers.

justaddcoffee Thank you for taking the time to call out these scammers! Poshmark used to be one of my favorite places to buy and sell but it’s becoming a nightmare with all these scam listings. There seem to be thousands of them a day. It’s just not worth my time. If Poshmark doesn’t do something fast I sadly don’t foresee this app being around much longer.

newmoonjewelry These people are stealing all my photos and posting them on multiple platforms. A good friend of mine is a police officer and he helped me file a report , and they can investigate the IP address. This is beyond out of control. I work so hard on my listings and they are making my reputation look bad by using my photos and descriptions, completely insane this is happening

You and every other Posher works so hard to build a reputation and work hard on your closet to just for someone to use all your postings. Thank you for reporting it and I hope it works out.

sindy_otto @garnetowl correct. I usually email Poshmark support and send them the URL addresses and they take the fake listings down. I haven't had a chance to send them the new ones. and people are purchasing the items...but there are no items 🥺

krssmanagement @garnetowl @sindy_otto....The one way to save yourself if you don't feel comfortable is video the packing of the item and video drop it at the post office and letting your buyer know this will occur so their is no confusion or ability to scam.

gingergapeach I'm very new to selling, but have purchased a decent bit from here as well a the other 3 biggies (E, F..B..M, & M). My BIGGEST gripe about this site is how Poshmark doesn't seem to care if a package gets damaged during delivery. Truly sucks that fraud & scams are that prevalent. I'm so sick of F...B...M refusing to do anything about their scammers & the fraud posts. :(
