Just thought I'd do a little intro. I live in San Francisco, work as a civil rights attorney by day, party as a bar-owner's wife at night. So I need looks that run the gamut! (Much like my style.) I'm new to poshing but I'll try to learn fast. Would always love a little help along the way. I don't trade or do Paypal, but I am up for negotiating within reason - that's my job after all! silvahhh @lisabella17 I know! We went to the sanctuary in Thailand and it was really amazing. I wanted to take this one home with us. We also got to play with full-grown tigers. The pictures are insane but they were just like oversized house cats. Absolute love.

silvahhh @batgirllaura Thanks! Yeah I have been pretty lucky all-around. We have a great group of friends and there are always new and interesting people filtering through. I am also really enjoying meeting so many new people through Posh. Crazy fun to get to literally dig through stranger's closets. brinda I actually loved what I did (jury consulting) but life took me another direction… C'est la vie. And as for the shares - sometimes I share to return the favor but then sometimes I just share just because there's something I love about it (like your stuff). I especially love people with a point of view and you definitely have that! Way too few on here - so I like to celebrate the ones I'm lucky enough to find :)

silvahhh @brinda Oh you are so sweet. I am blushing. :) But I also agree and I love your closet for the same reason! When I find great things that I don't fit into, I get invested in them - I WANT someone to buy your Sabine dress. Preferably right now. And also your HOH cuff. You have amazing taste. Interesting that you did jury consulting. That was high on my list of coveted jobs. It sounds like much more fun than most legal positions. (And would probably have supported my posh-addiction better than civil rights work!) Ah well...

brinda I should also mention that I billed 120 work weeks and had no life. Trade off I suppose. As for my closet, I don't think it really represents me, it's kind of random. Some of it yes (black, black and more black), and some of it's just - crazy random. But it's all good :)

silvahhh Ha, that is true. These are the clothes we are getting rid of after all! Mine represents me a few years ago much better than now. (Except for my continuing obsession with black clothes, boots, and jackets...) As for the 120-hour work weeks, I do not miss those one bit.

brinda Thanks for your help! It was an interesting experience... Things I wish they did differently - but overall good fun. (I mean it's fashion, how serious can you take it?!) Btw, not sure if you checked out bekahtron's closet (the one with the *insane* spiked booties made for Pink) but she's teeny tiny (tall - but tiny), appears to be a stylist, and while nothing in her closet totally reminds me of you, she has lots of LBD's for super cheap. And you never know what she may list. Worth a look in my opinion. Anyway, thanks again for being clutch!

silvahhh AW! Oh yes, the real spicy. The oh-my-god-my-mouth-is-bleeding-but-I-love-it-anyway type of spicy. I miss that so much! None of the Thai restaurants in San Francisco will give it to me. I think they don't believe me that I really want the real thing. As for being underweight - it was just that once - perfectly timed for my Thailand trip! I ate soooo many noodles and sooo much chocolate ... yum yum yum.

silvahhh @edionne The best way to get followers is simply to share other people's closets and follow other people. A few tips: 1) I find that if you share 3+ items from someone's closet, they will almost always return the favor and follow you and usually share some of your closet as well. It also never hurts to engage with people if you like their closet. Case in point - I'm going to share all of your stuff b/c a) it is gorgeous and b) YOU are a total sweetheart. See how that works? :) 2) You can quickly follow huge groups of people by searching for and joining "share follows" posts - I'll tag you on one. 3) Find a closet you like and click on the numbers of followers and followed at the top of the closet. You will get a complete list of followers/followed by doing so and you can just go down the list and follow them all (or until you get bored). 4) You can also do this with individual posts. If you find an item for sale that is just outrageously awesome and is in your size, click on the number of "likes" and follow all those people - they have great taste and your clothes will fit them. Score. 5) When I was starting out, I aimed to follow at least 200 closets a day. It is labor-intensive but worth it. 6) Finally, and this is a big one that I still try to do regularly - share *everything* from your closet several times a day - I do it when I get up, sometime during the day, and in the evening around 8 or 9. The more you share your closet, the more chances people have to see you in their feed. And of course, DO DO DO share to the parties - preferably in the last 20 minutes, but any time will do. Tag yourself in that post and ask them to check out your closet. You can also find co-hosts by checking the list of upcoming parties.
