Hay George Sowden Blue Toaster

This is a Hay Sowden Toaster in blue, which is no longer in production. It feature seven settings, a stop lever that lights up when it's on, a crumb tray that slides out and a EU plug. Bread slices can be inserted into the toaster, or baked goods can be placed on top to warm up. The bottom has clips or a groove specifically for wrapping and hiding the excess cord. The toaster was briefly plugged in using a converter plug for testing purposes. It powered on, the heating elements warmed up, and the indicator light turned on. I did not leave it on for an extended period once I realized a transformer is required to operate it safely in the U.S. There was a slight smell when it was turned on. If you plan to use this toaster in the U.S., you’ll need: A step-up transformer to convert 120 V (U.S.) up to 220–240 V. A plug adapter to connect the UK/EU plug into U.S. outlets—or replace the plug entirely. Just be sure the transformer can handle the toaster’s high wattage (usually around 900–1050 W) to avoid overheating or improper operation. 14.1" L x 7.75" H x 5.625" W In good preowned condition.
