Hattie Carnegie Renaissance Revival Brooch of a large coiled lion surrounding a faux pearl button with pearl drops. This brooch is bold in scale and is enameled in creamy pale yellow with red, blue and green highlights. American costume jewelry manufacturers reinterpreted fine period pieces with wild abandon in the 1960's. Signed "Hattie Carnegie". 1960's USA (mostly worn off signature on the back side but see up close photos above for details). Measures 4" x 2.5". Excellent condition, clasp is in perfect working order.
