Harvard University 1927 HARVARD HALL Holden Lionel Wedgewood Plate

Wedgwood issued a set of College Plates for the Harvard University in 1927, the first of many such "sets" of college plates produced by Wedgwood: 12 different views, transfer printed in blue on a 10.25 inch diameter Queensware (fine earthenware) plate, with a fruit and flower border adapted from a c.1840 Staffordshire pattern. Each plate had a limited run of approximately 5,000 in 1927. Good condition, no cracks or chips. Original manufacturer imperfections and variations.
