(1) 9.75" diameter dinner plate features Harry Potter as Gryffindor Quidditch Seeker, flying to catch the elusive golden snitch. Made in Portugal for Johnson Brothers of Wedgwood. Discontinued 15 years ago, is no longer made and is exceedingly rare. This special collection of quality earthenware features Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is inspired by the characters and events from the best selling book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. All pieces are individually marked with a Harry Potter backstamp. Made by Johnson Brothers of Wedgwood. Microwave safe, freezer safe, dishwasher safe. No longer in production. Made in 2001 only. Johnson Brothers was a British tableware manufacturer and exporter that was noted for its early introduction of "semi-porcelain" tableware. It was among the most successful Staffordshire potteries which produced tableware for the United States, from the 1890s through the 1960s. From 1968 to 2015, it operated as a part of the Wedgwood Group. In 2015, the Waterford Wedgwood group was acquired by the Finnish company Fiskars, which continued the Waterford and Wedgwood brands, but discontinued production of Johnson Brothers.
