Happy World Autism Awareness Day

Different... not less. My son is one of the most brilliant, sensitive children I know. What I wish for today, and every day is understanding. Today, we shine a light on autism. Some days, when I take him out in public it's too much- the people, sounds, lights... He may scream or hit himself due to sensory overload. He's not a brat, nor am I a bad mother. So please, open your heart and your mind to those around you. Many of us are affected by Autism. Please give your patience and understanding.
