My Bella was a silver silky terrier. She passed at 11 years old as my vet that I trusted gave her inoculations that a geriatric dog didnβt need and she had a stroke and died at home. I still cry thinking about it. I have been blessed with a sweet protector and another love of my life, Gracie. So you never know what the universe has planned

@anniel11 Oh my, so sorry to hear. This breaks my heart to hear. Iβm so very sorry for your loss. Itβs a pain that stays with me forever even though my Chloe helped when my Alex passed, and my Ava helped when my Chloe passed. Both were 15. Both were Yorkies.

@anniel11 My Ava was in a bad car accident with my hubby, 3/31. The airbag deployed in the car was totaled. She is now blind in her right eye and if the pressure doesnβt come down, her eye will have to be removed. She was referred to a specialist who ironically used to be our neighbor. She was out of town and referred us to another.

@anniel11 We saw him and he put her on two different types of drops two Fridays ago and had a follow up the following Tuesday. But instead of her pressure going down, it went up another 10 points. After that visit, he gave us another drop plus steroids for her to take orally. He wasnβt going to see her for another two weeks.

@anniel11 We then talked to Stacey, who was the specialist that they originally referred us to. I didnβt feel good about the situation and having to wait another two weeks Stacey told us that she talked with the other doctor and it looked like he did everything right and so did our vet and talking with her helped me a lot. But today Ava is going to see her for a second opinion and to see if her pressure has gone down in her eye.

@anniel11 She also said she didnβt want to give me false hope but there was a 1% chance that Ava could get her vision back. I am holding onto that hope because even though Ava is a Yorkie, she loves playing frisbee. I donβt want this to affect that. I have noticed that her eye is finally opening up where it was all the way closed. I am thankful that she didnβt have any broken bones. They think it was from the dark of the accident.
