Hand-painted Ceramic Tea Pot – Brown, Gold, and Floral Design, Made in Japan We are downsizing and preparing for a move and this gorgeous delicate tea pot is not going to be moving with us. Hand-painted in Japan, this ceramic tea pot has a brown glaze base color with gold painted highlights and beautifully painted floral designs on the body of the tea pot. The floral design is in soft blues, orange, and gold tones. This tea pot is more than 40 years old. There are no cracks on the teapot and the glaze and finish is in fantastic condition. I can feel a small chip on the spout, which was painted and glazed so it was original to the teapot. The lid has a few small chips on the unglazed part. Spout to handle is 8.5 inches wide. Approximately 16.25 inches around the mid-section of the tea pot. Approximately 6.5 inches tall with the lid, approximately 5 inches tall without the lid. Lid is approximately 2 inches from base to top. Tea pot opening is approximately 2.5 inches in diameter. Holds approximately 4 cups (32 ounces). Condition is shown in photos.
