Hand-made vintage, yet nearly new wool mittens

Hand knit by my aunt Grace circa 1975. Dense knit the old-fashion way an expert would have done it for someone they love. Size is about a men’s medium or woman’s large. Worn a couple times. In nearly new condition. Stored away for the past 50 years. Note - from pictures - how the thumb originates from the side but concludes on the back. Also note the properly tapered finger area (not just rounded off). These are special.
