Wet felting is a textile art form where various raw wool fibers are transformed into a dense, fabric-like material through a manual process of agitation, heat, and moisture. By combining wool, hot water, soap, and friction, the scales on the wool fibers open up and interlock, creating a strong, cohesive sheet of ‘felt’. This technique is used to create various pieces of art using various textures, colors and shapes. All unique and one-of-a-kind. Wet felting is honestly a true ‘love of labor’ due to the extensive manual labor and time involved in making a simple piece of artwork.
