Handmade Red Slouch Hat with Pepperminty Pompom

This fire-engine red, hand-crocheted hat is made with a heavy weight cotton yarn. It's almost 10 inches long so you have the option of wearing it loose and slouchy or rolling up the bottom for a cuff and a tighter fit. I've shown it both ways in the various pictures. The pompom is a blend of the red cotton yarn and white wool. This hand-made heavy weight hat is soft and stretchy and should fit most adult heads. (I have a fairly big round head (Think Charlie Brown!) and it's snug on me.) It's hand-washable and air-dryable. You can also machine-wash on delicate/cold and machine dry on low/delicate, but it will change the texture a little and tighten the weave. I'd suggest using a lingerie bag if you decide to machine wash.. As you can see, I carried the hat around to multiple locations outside to show it in different lights. I find it hard to describe red shades so it was easier to show it in comparison to other things. In addition to trying it out on my niece, I have my garden gnome, various plants, and my gazing globe doing the honors. :)
