crochetcarousel @haineyboutique don't really know what a heating rating would be...but acrylic isn't fireproof you know. I think the only way it would be affected is if it were exposed to an open flame.

haineyboutique @carolannsdesign yes, you are right. acrylic yarn is not fireproof, in fact, acrylic is flammable because acrylic and polyester yarns are made from plastic bags. the synthetic nature of acrylic causes them to melt and ignite with heat. i appreciate your response.
