Handwoven sheep's wool Hualhuas tote bags are fabulous handcrafts. This beautiful southwestern style woven tote bag is a traditional Native American style shoulder bag created by the famous Hualhuas weavers. Woven by hand on traditional looms, this tote has matching front and back panels as well as a matching strap and flap cover. The closure is a hand carved gourd button with what might be an alpaca. The village of Hualhuas is located in the central Andes of Peru. The native people are the artisans who create these amazing totes, using them as carry bags and purses. 100% Sheep Wool. Measures approximately 14" long x 12" wide. Shoulder strap opening length is 14" The threading for around the button closure is frayed but still intact.
