This verigated blue doily is called a medallion doily and is mainly crocheted in a double crochet stitch in various rounds.. I have seen doilies of this size used as a table setting for the dinner plate or just placed on end tables to "hide the dust" as my Grandmother used to say! I learned the art of crochet from my Grandmother who created beautiful doilies and tablecloths that she gave as gifts of love to others. I have come back to crochet as it is the distraction I need while dieting, when my hands are busy I do not eat things I need not! It's Working. Measures 11" across
