Handcrafted Turkish Blue Glass Evil Eye Nazar Boncuğu Amulet 1.5” Diameter

This Authentic Turkish Amulet was given to me as a gift from a friend who made a trip to Turkey and Greece in the early 2000’s. The Amulet measures approximately 1.5” in Diameter. Also called Nazar Boncuğu (Bead of the Gaze) in Turkey, this traditional blue glass amulet is believed to protect against the evil eye, a malevolent gaze thought to bring bad luck or misfortune, often stemming from envy or ill-will. It’s typically crafted as a handmade glass bead featuring concentric circles in dark blue, white, light blue and black, forming an eye-like symbol that is believed to deflect negative energy by staring back at the source of envy. The amulet is deeply rooted in Turkish culture and is used a protective talisman in homes, work places, vehicles and as personal jewelry. It is commonly given to newborns, newlyweds and new home owners to provide protection and bring good fortune.
