This tray is perfectly imperfect, battle worn and proudly showing off a patina that only time can produce. In other words if this thing could talk, there would be stories starting with how it was hand crafted by an artisan, loved in it’s native land and eventually the long trip to it’s home in the mid-west. Only you can write the next chapeter of this trays story. Hand-hammered copper tray measuring about 10.5”, decorated with an engraved sunburst center and repeating geometric patterns typical of mid-20th century Moroccan workshop metalwork. The raised rolled rim has deeply stamped fluting and a naturally darkened patina from age. The underside carries a hand-struck artisan mark. Works well as a vanity tray, jewelry holder, candle base, or small display piece. Surface wear and patina are consistent with handmade copper of this era; see images for measurements.
