Hand painted leather Van Gogh handmade Italy tote handbag

This bag is made with the use of the famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh "Caffè Terrace at Night" of 1888. The subject is based on the contrast between the intensive yellow created by artificial illumintion and the night blue. According to Van Gogh the colors at night are richer than those of the day, and with this painting his interest for night colors and lighting begins and grows. For the first time we see the starry sky that culminates later in the "Starry Night" ... The image is executed in the mixed technique of applique and hand-painted with acrylic colors.
