Hand painted Blue Ridge serving platter vintage

Pretty hand painted platter by Blue Ridge Southern Potteries, in a pattern called "Festive," painted by women in Appalachia during the Depression until the mid-1950s. This is an excellent example of an avant garde pattern of hand painted brown and yellow streamers. The surface is beautiful and looks barely used. Measures approximately 12x9 inches, a bit smaller than the other platters in this set, only a little bigger than the dinner plates. Made in USA!
