It was a lovely gift to receive, however I am confident that my cats will break it (they are funny that way). Crafted in Mexico, the base color of the box is black with vibrant blues, greens, yellows, pinks, and reds. The lid has a beautiful bird and flower and the base is painted with green, red, and yellow flowers. The inside is unglazed. There are no chips, no scratches, and no cracks.
