Beautiful vintage hand knit Norwegian sweater from Bergen Norway imported by O. Allers c Late 1950s - Early 1960s. Features Selbu Roses, that also remind one of snowflakes, around the yoked neckline & Reindeer! Traditional design in dark navy fine Norwegian wool with white motifs knit in. Pewter snowflake design handmade buttons. Beautifully knit. No flaws. This sweater is soft, not scratchy . A Classic Original that has been copied by Ralph Lauren ! This is the 1st & in perfect condition ! A real beauty & a collector's item . Excellent condition. Freshly hand washed and blocked by a professional knitter. This true vintage sweater has been lovingly cared for and has many years of use left. It was knit by a Norwegian woman at home, then taken to the O. Allers distributers who paid the woman for her knitting and sold the sweater in their sweater Bergen Sweater Shop. I acquired this sweater in Norway. This is a classic high quality hand made Norwegian sweater in a traditional design. This sweater will comfortably fit a size Medium to Large .
