This unique 10" round Edison vintage record has been painted with acrylic paint using a fluid art technique to make it resemble a huge flower bloom. The bright colors in an unusual pattern of cells and flows of paint surround an acrylic holder for an air plant or even a silk plant if you prefer. Air plants don't need much care at all! Easy Peasy! Perfect for people who like plants but say they can't take care of plants very well. (Flowers for display purposes only, not included with purchase).
The colors are green, turquoise, orange, black, brown, mustard, with metallic paint giving it a nice shimmer. The back is covered in felt. Hangs from a purple satin ribbon to match the colors, ready to hang on your wall. Sprayed with a protective high gloss finish. Perfect for a sun porch, beach house or lanai too.
The Edison Diamond Disc Record is a type of phonograph record marketed by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. on their Edison Record label from 1912 to 1929. They were named Diamond Discs because the matching Edison Disc Phonograph was fitted with a permanent conical diamond stylus for playing them. Diamond Discs were incompatible with lateral-groove disc record players, e.g. the Victor Victrola, the disposable steel needles of which would damage them while extracting hardly any sound. They are 1/4" thick.
