This vintage hand-carved wooden pedestal doll features an Indigenous mother carrying an infant on her back, crafted with detailed carving and traditional fabric clothing. Standing approximately 8.5–9 inches high, the figure includes a woven green shawl wrapped around the bodice to secure the baby, a vibrant red floral cotton skirt, and layered undergarments. Both mother and infant wear head scarves, and the piece is mounted on a 2.25-inch round wooden base secured with a small nail. The clothing is made from a woven wool/cotton blend and cotton/poly fabric, typical of traditional South American or Tarahumara-style dolls. Hair is painted dark brown, and the doll is free of origin markings.
