Hand Carved Dark Hardwood Cat Figurine Folk Art

Such a unique cat figurine. Not positive on the type of wood, but definitely a dark hardwood, has some weight to it for its size. Stands 5-1/2' high at the tail, 5" long, and approximately 1-3/4" wide. This cat has big bright eyes and is ready to pounce. There has been a repair to his front leg, see photo.
