HIPPIE Rosebud Earrings 1960s purchased @ a "Head Shop" near Yale University

Back in the days of Free Love and Make Love, Not War anything and everything cool was purchased from a "Head Shop." The best one around was on the corner of Chapel and Temple Streets in New Haven until it was supplanted by Claire's Corner Copia Restaurant which remains a Yale University & New Haven favorite today. I don't have a test kit but must assume they're truly Silver as they've oxidized so much in the 6 decades I've owned them - oh my gosh, I hate to think of them that way as it makes me recognize it surely is a great number of years I've been on this Earth! They're also phenomenal quality - although I have owned & do own many Vintage & Antique pairs of Earrings, they're the only ones other than my diamond studs that have a true screw back so you don't lose them - you literally have to twist the back onto the threaded stud! They originally had metal backs, but I replaced them with thick plastic ones decades ago as their thickness made them much easier to manipulate to screw them onto the threaded studs.
