Who pays postage when it's more than 6.49$?
How does this work? Is postage included in the
20 percent or only a charge on top of sold item's 20 percent Any help or advice appreciated to start selling a beautifully appointed upscale closet !!

Welcome to Poshmark! I'll try to help answer a few of your questions!
The buyer (not the seller) pays a flat rate shipping price. That is for any package UP TO 5 pounds. Once the buyer pays for your item, Poshmark will email you a prepaid shipping label. All you have to do is tape the label on a box and ship your items.

When you sell an item, Poshmark will automatically take their 20%. Your amount will show pending in your balance. The buyer must receive the package first. They have 3 days to inspect and accept it. If they do no accept it after the 3rd day, posh will automatically release your payment.

@dressingdoris oh thank you for helping! So it's
The buyer paying 6.49 up to 5 pounds. Ok
What if the package is 6, 7, 10 pounds? How is that handled TY !!

dressingdoris
@sophialoren1257 If for any reason your package weighs over 5 pounds, the seller is responsible for the overage. You must upgrade the label. I've sold 630+ listings and I've never had to upgrade a label.

@dressingdoris hi how do I "tag" you, or others for that matter? I owe you ❣️
Jan 18Reply

dressingdoris
@sophialoren1257 That number you're seeing is your "community shares" not your personal shares. When you share someone else's listings, that number will change.

dressingdoris
@sophialoren1257 And you're tagging correctly! 😊 Just add the @ username that you're wanting to tag. That sends them a notification.

@dressingdoris so I need to share others' listings to get my own stuff exposed? I read the posh manual, wrote to customer service, nothing
Jan 18Reply

dressingdoris
@sophialoren1257 Getting exposure is a combination of things. Sharing your own items, sharing others items, and following other users are all very important factors. When you share the listings of others, they'll typically come back and share your items in return.

@dressingdoris hi lovely! So a few months back I sold a large suitcase on Poshmark because the weight was more than 5 lbs I had to create a ew label indicating the actual weight. Poshmark adjust the shipping fee. I had to absorb the fee as the seller, the shipping was around $20. I explained this to the buyer. She did pay the full asking price of $85 instead of my $75 plus shipping included offer due to the extra shipping I had to pay. Hope that helps 😊
