This album came in the wake of their highly successful cover version of the Righteous Brothers' single 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' from their 1980 album, Voices. The duo kept the ball rolling with 'Private Eyes' peaking at #5 on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It spawned two #1 singles, the title track and 'I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)', as well as the Top-10 single 'Did It in a Minute' and the Top-40, 'Your Imagination.' 'I Cant Go for That (No Can Do),' also spent a week at the top of the R&B chart. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA in the US.
