The album was recorded at Cherokee Studio in Hollywood, CA and released in August 1976 by RCA Records. The album peaked at #13 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It included their first #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, 'Rich Girl' as well as the singles 'Back Together Again' (which reached #28) and 'Do What You Want, Be What You Are' (which peaked at #39). Though not released as a single, the album's deep cut, 'Crazy Eyes' earned acclaim for its intricate arrangements and heartfelt lyrics. 'Bigger Than Both of Us' was certified Gold by the RIAA (US).
