Ring #1 “MCMLXXXI” Roman numerals convert to 1981. “Guess 1981 Los Angeles“ fragrances for men & women inspired by city of LA in 1981, particularly mountains, desert & Seascape at sunset. Captures spirit of LA during that era & feeling of CA lifestyle. Guess was established in 1981. Ring #2 Brushed metal Ring #3 N 118° 14’ 13.2” W 34° 01’ 23.5” longitude & latitude to location near Los Angeles, CA, specifically Westwood, CA. In 1970s & 1980s Westwood was THE hotspot in LA. Streets were shut down to vehicles & overtaken by people every weekend & they were packed! This basically stopped January 1988 when 27 year-old woman Karen Tashima was accidentally shot & killed by a stray bullet from a gang member fighting a rival gang. Illusion of safety was gone & people started staying away. Local residences’ Assoc. instituted new rules to keep partiers from coming back. Banned dance floors & drink specials, which basically made it unprofitable to own a bar. Westwood never recovered. Only 1 bar made it through.
