grailhunt010 EU 40 in layman terms or as we sneakerheads are accustomed to based on Nike /Jordan sizing is a US 7. It's the reason behind my confusion and why I posed the question.

emcdowelc @grailhunt010 I totally get what you saying. This shoe does not run large as it is a narrower cut so it is essentially a true European 40 which is a US 7 in men’s, 8.5/9 in women. Sorry for the confusion. I use to wear a 7 in men and now because of foot injury I am now a 7.5/8 so all my shoes are too snug.

emcdowelc @grailhunt010 I do want you to keep in mind that this is a ladies style so that is why the shoe is essentially cut more narrow so if you can fit 8.5/9 women then it will work
