Green Pikake & Limpet Shell Necklace

A rare color, this seafoam green pikake necklace is old and beautiful, handcrafted long ago on the Hawaiian islands. Featuring four strands coming together is a very unusual limpet shell ending, and closing with a filigree box clasp. True Vintage with heavy wear on the overpainting on the shells, giving visual depth and texture. Strung on silk, no strand breaks. A lovely and fluid piece, and extremely rare. 18” Metal content on the box clasp is unknown. I think this is quite old, possibly around WW1 era, into the 20’s.
