Acceptable condition. 1897 hardcover edition of Gray’s Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical, published by Lea Brothers & Co. Covers show heavy fading, staining, and edge wear. Spine cloth is frayed at both ends with visible shelf wear; gold gilt remains mostly legible. Front hinge is cracked and partially split but binding remains intact. Endpapers show tanning, foxing, and period inscriptions from 1899–1900 (including a student at Philadelphia Dental College). Text block is complete with all 772 illustrations present. Interior pages show foxing and occasional moisture spots, but text and images remain legible. A rare historical medical reference, ideal for collectors or display.
