Grandma Moses: The Artist Behind the Myth – Exhibition Brochure, Galerie St. Etienne, NYC, 1982-83
Rare original art exhibition brochure for “Grandma Moses: The Artist Behind the Myth,” commemorating the achievements of Dr. Otto Kallir. Held at Galerie St. Etienne, New York, November 16, 1982 through January 8, 1983. Four-panel brochure, folded size 6.75" x 9.5", opens to 13.5" x 9.5".
Condition:
This brochure, being white, does show some soiling—no doubt from being carried around the gallery. There is a very slight evidence of a crease, as if it was about to be folded in half, but then not completed. It’s hard to see, but if you hold it at an angle to the light, you’ll spot it. Every detail is disclosed for your confidence. The beginning of the crease at the top center of the cover is a tad more soiled than the rest. Otherwise, very nice for a 43-year-old collectible.
Why Buy:
Perfect for collectors of Grandma Moses, American folk art, or rare NYC gallery ephemera. Ideal as a unique gift or for historical research—an authentic piece from a landmark exhibition.
Professional packaging always, since 2003.
