Great set of knives and forks for camp dining, classy and fun. Included: SIX dinner knives, FIVE dinner forks plus, thrown in for free, ONE matching SERVING SPOON that has a LOT of wear, as described below. Set sold "as is."
Twelve pieces of antique Gorham Manufacturing Company's high-quality electroplated silver (silverplate) flatware in the classic, elegant Shelburne pattern. Designed by William C. Codman, patented in 1914, discontinued for several decades now. These are older pieces in the hard-to-find larger size for ham-fisted hungry men. The knives are 9-1/2" long, the forks are 7-5/8".
All five forks are marked on the back "G.M. Co., E.P. Pat. 1914" and an anchor mark. Two of the six knives are marked with an anchor and "Gorham" on the handle; their blades are marked "Stainless N." The other four knife handles are unmarked and their blades say just "Stainless." One knife has some dings on the side of the handle. Clearly all knives are a matched set with the forks.
Also included is an 8-1/2" serving spoon that is damaged. It's trademarked like the forks and is in usable condition; at the end of the bowl it's misshapen from use and worn to the base metal. There is also wear on the back of this spoon; it is included as an extra with the forks and knives, as it is not in perfect condition. (The serving spoon damage is shown in the pictures).
All knives & forks are in good used condition with evidence of general use, surface scratches and wear.
