jenny81138 @gretchen1130 Gold plated, the description will always clarify. Keep in mind though that a real gold chain, even if it was a 10K could not be $39. If you find one is priced that low I can assure you the seller is being deceptive, or it's beyond damaged. This style in real gold would be afew hundred minimum Real Gold is very expensive right now which is why gold plated/filled (real solid gold laying) over sterling silver is extremely possible due to the price/look.
