Vintage Japanese "Gold Imari" Porcelain Charger, piece of vintage Arita ware, produced in Japan between approximately 1959 and 1984.
This vintage shallow charger plate in the "Gold Imari" is hand-painted with a traditional Imari design, with metallic gold portions. Excellent condition; no chips or cracks.
Beautiful distinctive hand-painted designs and vibrant color palette.
It features the classic Imari style, characterized by a central medallion with floral patterns, alternating panels depicting birds and flowers, and intricate gilt details.
Origin: Imari porcelain is named after the Japanese port from which it was historically shipped to the West, though the porcelain itself was produced in Arita, Japan.
