Gold Brooch with Purple Gem and Pearl

This exquisite Victorian revival brooch features two cherubs elegantly suspended by delicate chains. They hold a brilliant oval-shaped faceted purple crystal with a large pearl dangling below. Actually the pearl has a crystal on the bottom which adds to the tremendous craftsmanship of this piece. Above the cherubs lies a scepter with a heart resting in its center. The heart is adorned with tiny purple crystals and a single clear crystal in the middle. It is absolutely magnificent and truly a one-of-a-kind piece! This piece measures about 2.5in in length and about 1.5in at its widest point. The maker is not known but it is reminiscent of older French designers.
