This is a beautiful vintage clear pressed glass candy dish with a lid, a piece from the mid-century line of the Fostoria Coin Glass pattern (produced 1958-1982). The dish and lid feature an elaborate, pressed design with a scalloped edge on the bowl. The bowl's exterior is decorated with round coin-like emblems depicting the Liberty Bell, a minuteman, and the Liberty Torch. The lid has a prominent eagle emblem pressed into the center on top of the handle. The dish rests on a decorative, circular foot. The glass is UV reactive, giving off a faint green glow under a 365nm UV light source, which adds to its collectible value. This piece would make an elegant accent on a console table, buffet, or kitchen counter for storing sweets or small trinkets.
Measurements
Approximately 4.25 inches high x 6.5 inches wide.
Condition
No chips, cracks, or fleabites are observed. The glass is clear with no significant scratching. This dish gives off a faint green glow under 365nm UV light. Note: Item is sold as-is.
