Glows! Vintage Fostoria Clear Coin Glass Footed Compote: UV Reactive

This is a clear pressed glass small footed compote bowl, part of the collectible Fostoria Coin Glass pattern (produced 1958-1982). The shallow bowl has a scalloped rim and sits upon a flared, octagonal pedestal base. The sides are decorated with alternating frosted medallions, one showing an Eagle above the date 1886, and the other a Liberty Torch motif. The clear glass is UV reactive, giving off a faint green glow under a 365 UV light, a desirable feature for collectors. This patriotic, Americana bowl is ideal for serving candy, nuts, or as a decorative glass accent. Measurements: Approximately 3.75 inches high by 4.5 inches wide.
