Glass Pedestal Compote Bowl Gold & Green Edge Trim Flowers & Leaves Etched Band This beautiful vintage bowl dates to at least the 1940's - 1950's.. In addition to the gold trim, there is also a deep green trim on the rim. Handling this bowl is a very tactile experience: you can run your fingers along the delicate etching, along the inside to feel the fluting in the glass itself, and the rounding of the rim. This bowl was hand blown using a graphite mold (that is what gives it the undulating shape) and hand etched. Measurements: 4" tall from rim to base; 6 1/2' wide at the rim; the pedestal is 1" high. There are no makers markings on the piece. There are a couple of buttles in the glass indications of an older piece. Excellent condition: very minor wear on the gold trim.
