aglas9837 Are you using galvanized iron (assuming these are handmade) which is covered with zinc? Surface-plated pieces with nickel or chrome? Otherwise, the iron will oxidize (rust) if exposed to moisture and oxygen. Wrought iron is very resistant to rusting and would be a good alternative. This is a beautiful piece but it would be hung in a tree and will rust if not galvanized or coated as above. Thanks!

aglas9837 I’m asking because I like it but wanted to ask if the iron has been galvanized to at least slow down rusting which can be used by spraying with Zinc Cold Galvanizing Spray which will prevent rust and corrosion for up to 3 years at which point CLR or WD-40 Specialist Penetrant with a flexible straw. Can be used to remove the rust. You can find it on Amazon for $13 or $14 (it’s on sale right now for $10.78). The Zinc spray goes for about the same (between ~$10 or $15-16). Thanks!
