About the artist: Giuseppe Zocchi 1717 (or 1711?)-1767 Draughtsman and etcher in Florence. Patronsied by Andrea Gerini, and sent him round Italy to study. Gerini commissioned him to make drawings for two famous series of topographical views of Florence and Tuscany Aprile Description 7x10 Composition of seven figures; a man and a woman shearing sheep; two women and a boy standing behind them ready for more sheep; two men chasing more sheep in a farm to right; a dog standing on steps to left Inscription content: Lettered below image with artists' and publisher's names: "G.
