Gerz Gerzit Mid Century Teapot Vintage Coffee Pot West Germany Pottery 1949-1990

This art decor high glazed brown teapot features a distinctive design with horizontal ribbing on the upper half and a smooth gradient glaze transitioning from dark brown at the top to a lighter, sandy color at the bottom. The maker Gerz, a well-known German ceramics manufacturer. The mark on the bottom reads “ORIGINAL GERZ GERMANY” within a circular stamp that includes a jug in a triangular symbol first introduced around 1900. Gerz is recognized for producing high-quality ceramic items, including teapots, beer steins, and other collectible pieces. Very good condition with only one chip on the underside of the lip on the lid. Approximate Dimensions: 6 ¼” high x 4” wide (7” spout to handle) Weight 1 lb. 5 oz.
