Georgian Lead Glass Decanter 3 Neck Rings and Mushroom Stopper, circa 1820
This is a good Anglo-Irish cut-glass or crystal decanter made early in the 19th century, circa 1820, during the English Regency, late Georgian period.
The decanter is nominally straight sided and is beautifully cut in eight vertical columns or flutes with slice cut flat panels at the shoulder, leading to the neck. Each vertical column on the main body has two circular cut dimples , one at the top and one at the bottom of each column. The neck has three neck rings and the base is star cut, which are other features of this period. The decanter has a good matching eight sided mushroom cut stopper which we consider to be the original stopper.
