Vintage Early 19th Century Antique CHINOISSERIE Illustrated Cobalt Blue Pink Lustre Trim Child Cup Mug Staffordshire Gaudy Welsh Lustreware* Cup measures roughly 2.5" tall x 3.25" wide from rim to handle. Cup has a few significant hairlines- one going from rim about 2/3 of the way toward base, and a few inside/outside bottom/base, as well as some brown speckling, which is likely a manufacturer's flaw. He also standardised many of the names ascribed to patterns we now associate with Gaudy Welsh Pottery. Gaudy Welsh, a name which describes perfectly the hand-painted decoration applied primarily to tea sets, bowls and jugs.
