Garofano Carnation Faenza Italian Decorative Wall Plate (12"D)

Decorative wall plate, hand painted in “Garofano” (carnation) style, typical of the 18th century Faenza’s pottery. Its flowers and leaves are inspired by the oriental gardens. In the foreground depicts a carnation flower reworked by the imagination of the decorator. In excellent pre-owned condition, no chips or cracks. The plate is designed to hang on the wall. Dimensions: 12" diameter (31.5 cm.)
