From her website - The ultimate bread dipping dish! Try it once and you'll fall in love with it! Use this dish for all your garlic and olive oil delights or as a Seafood Dipping dish!
Just peel a clove of fresh garlic and grate right over the raised edges of the unglazed area in the middle. (the unglazed area creates the sharp grading place to shread your garlic or ginger). ADD olive oil and let mellow for about one hour. If you want, add your favorite herbs, sea salts or balsamic vinegar to taste and begin dipping your bread.(my mom loves to add fresh parmesan cheese to hers)
For a great seafood dip, grate your garlic, add butter and lemon juice and microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. Great for dipping shrimp, scallops or oysters!
For an Asian flavor... Grate your ginger root, add soy and balsamic for a fantastic Asian dipping sauce.
When you are done throw it in the dishwasher! Easy as that! I also use the dish to grate my fresh garlic and have done away with my old garlic press that clogged up...
