GLORIOUS DESIGNER GOLD STRAW VINTAGE WIDE BRIM HAT WITH RED & BLACK FEATHERS

This is a gorgeous, large gold straw wide brim hat designed by the famous milliner Frank Olive. The crown is round and tall. The very large brim is turned upon at the edges. There is a red band around the crown. At the back there is a large red and black feather arrangement. Label: FRANK OLIVE Frank Olive (1929-1995) was a highly respected milliner, known for his elegant and high-quality hats, particularly during the 1950s through the 1990s. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and began designing costumes before moving to New York to pursue a career in theater. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
